About

Listen to National Radio Interview
This ride started out dedicated to my Dad who died at the age of 49 years from Cancer, and the adventures he could have had. As I was in final weeks of preparation for the ride my younger sister and sister in law were diagnosed almost simultaneously with breast cancer. So I am riding for them and the future.

It is about putting my passion for adventure and discovery to a good use. Forty years building up a successful international software company leaves little legacy for a huge amount of effort. I have dedicated my remaining active years to living in adventure but providing contribution along the way.

So far:
  • 2011 Ridden 12,000 kilometres Cairo to Cape Town - raising money for bicycles for disadvantaged children and for remote transport for health workers in Africa (www.lulu.com/shop/lindsay-gault/le-kiwi-tour-dafrique/paperback/product-21276592.html)
  • 2013 Ridden another 3,000 kilometres Nairobi to Lusaka - raising money for cancer
  • 2014 Touring 30,000km around Australia
  • 2016 Ridden the length of New Zealand, again raising funds for Cancer
  • 2016/17 Spent a year volunteering in beautiful Isabel Province in the Solomon Islands
